"They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. What then are we to think of it when the gods themselves steal our ideas on how the universe should work? Can we complain when they turn reality into a game? Can we get a refund on life itself? The gods claim they answered our prayers. That they built this world with us in mind. That they brought us here for our own sake. Maybe they did. Personally I think they have their own reasons. We're not the players in this game, we're the pieces on the board.

Still... What if it's fun?"

Axiom of Infinity follows the story of several travelers from Earth as they attempt to make new lives for themselves in a world with monsters and dungeons, where RPG mechanics are as innate as the laws of physics, and where the gods themselves seem to be playing a very different game–one with unknown stakes and strange alliances. Blessed by two gods and cursed by another, one man finds himself at the center of their machinations, a pawn destined to become a queen.

This is a LitRPG Novel built on a hard system with a lot of depth and customization, but which tries not to beat you over the head with numbers constantly. In this world finding and reporting bugs and exploits is both encouraged and rewarded, and the gods have found the most qualified testers in the multiverse: Us. Now the unsuspecting natives of Astra are going to have to learn to live with a bunch of min-maxing, power-gaming, spreadsheet slinging nerds and gamers of all shapes and sizes as we do what we do best... break things.

Well I quite like it,

Relatively novel, pretty decent characterization, lovely munchkinery.

though I should probably knock stars off as

A good third of the story is an info dump. Entertaining as info dumps go, and usually setting up to explain munchkinry, but info-dumps nevertheless.

Yet, it is still a tolerably moderate amount, and I want to see author's world, as its clearly well thought out.

Ty, I look forward to more meals.

Probably the best new story to hit Royal Road in the last few months. The world building is fantastic, deep, and has a ton of fun little twists I didn't expect. The only criticism I have is that the update schedule is torturously slow.

TLDR; summary - Just start reading this already.

This is an absolutely great fic. It is written well, edited well, the chapters are long, the story is engaging and I absolutely cannot think of anything bad to say about it.

The story has an impressive degree of realism and depth to it for any story set in a fantasy world. The System is incredibly detailed and described.

I haven’t looked at any of the other reviews but there are probably a bunch that complain about the “gender bender” aspects of the story — eh, whatever. People will always complain about something but honestly it isn’t as big a part of the story as it could be. The story is very realistic — I can’t imagine any other way things could have played out with the MC other than the author just avoiding the entire series of events altogether, and that would have been a shame.

Highly recommended — this has catapulted up on the list of my favorite works on this site!

I'm loving this story.

as I'm considering this review I can only think of a quote about Shakespeare (that I cannot perfectly recall or attribute).

"The tragedy of Shakespeare's work is that he is as good as people say he is. So those looking to 'buck the trend' as it were are doing themselves a disservice."

What I'm attempting to convey is that this story is just good. It's as good as all the reviews say it is. It's so good that you would enjoy reading it.

The systems are 'dense' yet explained properly. The skills are specific enough yet have wiggle room. Our protagonist is mucking about and reveling in it. There's been three days of time elapsed and yet so much has happened. I think this pace is fantastic.

Again I reiterate, it's good. I cannot stress enough how much I am looking forward to reading more.

A truly wonderful story I wandered into~

Reviewed at: Prologue & Author's Note

I found this beautiful story completely by chance via the mobile ad squares. I fell in love with the story and characters after only 2 chapters, and came over to desktop after keeping up to date for the last 3 months so I could make an account and leave a 5 star! I cannot recommend this story enough. I supremely appreciate the integration of the gender bend into the story (as a Transgirl it means even more when such topics are well covered) as well how the MC handles the situation. If I had the money I would happily fund this author to write full time in order to see more of the story faster. As it stands, I can only thank you dear author for the incredible creation you've chosen to share with us. Thank you SO MUCH love. I can hardly wait between updates.

Loving this story and eager to see where the author takes it. The main character is relatable and while starting out light enough to make me a little leery the author quickly brings depth and realistically murky and even contradicatory emotions that are too often simplified to leave characters two dimensional in isekai as well as dealing with adult subjects in a way that is tasteful yet really makes you invest and empathize with their characters. The world building is much better than the normal fare with sociological elements that flow easily, believably, and naturally into the base structure of the world and the why of how things are set up.

Reading that there was a bit of a political bent to it almost turned me off. As I expect a lot of us here do I read to escape the issues of our zeitgeist, not rehash them. After giving it a chance I was incredibly pleasantly surprised at the soft touch as well. Usually I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth even on books that align perfectly with my views but the author manages to explore instead of preach in a way that I can't recall in...literally anything else that has a self-professed goal of addressing issues even mainstream published novels. I can only give applause and urge you to give it a shot even if that's normally a red flag. You won't regret it.

I’d recommend it. The length of the author’s note/disclaimer worried me a bit at the start, but this is a solid take on a litrpg system with godly interference, and is pretty unique compared to the rest of the genre.

One thing that threw me off slightly is that there a side(?) character who, when we see things from her perspective, tends to herald a significant influx of info. It’s not badly executed though.

Don’t get stuck on that though. Good novel, serious themes in a typically unserious genre. Nice break from the ridiculousness.

From the onset it quickly grabs your attention and doesn't let go. From the world building to the characters every part is wonderful and fully fleshed out. While I personally do not enjoy  involuntary genderbender stories I feel this book manages to deal with it perfectly and really excited for how it will be explored in the future. The main character is overpowered but it plays out just like making a very good luck roll or discovery at the start of a game. I also dont like when the characters take time to adapt to the new reality situation but it is explained clearly why that is. Overall definitely one of the best books on here and I recommend it to anybody who is thinking of giving it a read.

Love this story, I found it blurbed in “Winds of Destiny” and clicked on it cuz it sounds fun. I’m glad I did I love it. Grounded and true to reality system. I like how well it’s done and what it done. Can’t wait to see what the dungeon core ends up like!!! This is one of the few stories that I have read that deserves the full 5 stars.

Very engaging. It can be a slight off-putting that there is a lot of explanation (such as a large portion of chapter 15), but the main story gets you deeply invested and rooted into the character. The quality is extremely good and well-written. Give this book a chance because the story gets very good after the long introduction.
